Kumbh means pot. In the puranas, it is a pot of nectar that gives immortality which comes out from the ocean of milk through a particular process called Samudra manthan.
A human being too can experience a certain kind of nectar which gives bliss, Ananda, and more so, an inexplicable experience. This can happen through the process of Yoga but not without guidance and grace. Therefore surrendering the inflated ego and focusing on just one is important.
Kumbh 2025 is a very special occasion for spiritual seekers, meditators, and Yoga practitioners. It begins from January 2025 onwards and concludes with Mahashivaratri on February 26.
Kumbh 2025 has arrived and it marks a very important galactic event which is going to have tremendous impact on this planet and the human beings and is particularly a very important opportunity for all those who want to know, who want to find out answers to the real questions deep within, and also for those who want to meet spiritual beauty, who want to learn, who want to receive, who want to experience, who want to make progress in their journey and break the shackles, who are ready to receive and embrace, and drink the nectar.
In Kumbh 2025, Jupiter enters Aquarius (Kumbh rashi) and as the Sun and moon align in the Milky way galaxy, which has been referred to as the ocean of milk, this has a certain impact on the magnetic field of our planet and also on us, human beings, our mind, body, energy, and spirit.
On our planet, there is an energy vortex that happens during this time period at a certain place. These 4 places are Haridwar, Prayagraj, Nashik and Ujjain. These four places are interconnected through energy pathways thus forming an energy vortex on the planet. These 4 places are called dham along with two more places. While Haridwar and Rishikesh are directly connected and Rishikesh, known as the world's yoga capital is literally just a walk to Haridwar, Varanasi is just a short drive from Prayagraj. Varanasi is the most ancient living City in the world.
So these 6 places above mainly form and experience this vortex. One can find the holy river Ganga ji in Rishikesh, Haridwar, Prayagraj and Varanasi. Sangam or union of rivers is present in Rishikesh, Prayagraj and Varanasi. The Godavari river flows at Nashik while Shipra flows at Ujjain. Devprayag near Rishikesh is another extremely powerful place energy wise for taking bath in Maa Ganga during Kumbh. So there is a tremendous possibility for awakening and upliftment if one is present in this place at this time with focus on the goal of true knowledge and receiving and allowing. With a certain approach, one can observe silence on Mauni Amavasya, receive teaching from the Guru, observe the rituals as per the instructions, and take a dip in the holy Maa Ganga. Mahashivaratri is another important day on February 26 this Kumbh for the morning dip in the Ganga, followed by Rudrabhishekam, receiving mantra for chanting, and various other immersions. A dip in the Ganga on some select date and time such as Mahashivaratri, Mauni Amavasya and even before that with guidance and grace of Guru leads to spiritual cleansing.
During this time of galactic alignment, a lot happens physically as well as spiritually. Lords, sages, seers, Siddhas, light bodies are present at a certain time and therefore it is a very auspicious and powerful time. This is a time when the portal to knowledge and experience is open.
Thousands of saints come out of their caves and ashram in the mystical Himalaya and millions of seekers receive their blessings. This time is ideal for meditation and yoga. It is a time when with grace and focus, churning happens.
For all spiritual seekers in the world, for all meditators, wherever you belong to, wherever you are, this is a tremendous occasion, a once in a lifetime opportunity. I say so from personal experience. Kumbh is the drop of love, truth, and wisdom and for the awareness to arise and explore the source deep beyond the horizon. Therefore, for all seekers, we have organized the Inner Kumbh program also as part of Kumbh 2025 which includes cleansing, guided mantra chanting, and sadhana (advanced meditation) with proper guidance.
There are three major nadis in our body apart from many more important nadis and thousands of sub nadis which are energy pathways. They are called Ida, Pingala and Sushumna.
The three main nadis meet at ajna chakra which then goes to Sahasrar Chakra. From hereon, tremendous possibilities arise. A new journey begins. It is inexplicable in words and glimpses of it can be recognised and understood by true Yogis, tatva jnana purusha or siddha purusha only. Only a true Yogi can identify another true Yogi or Yogini. The numbers are small and hence they are rare. Having said that, the knowledge, the path, the practice or sadhana, the rituals, practitioners, the masters, are very much there and will always be there. In this cycle of Yuga chakra or the wheel of time, a lot of things come around. As per the experience of Yogis, just like this material spiral galaxy which is like a wheel, so is time. It varies based on where we are as a planet, in this galaxy. Since the planets are continuously in motion, the Yuga chakra is there. Hence situations change on the planet, in the mind, body, energy of all beings including human beings too. Apart from a collective experience as humans, each individual has separate experience due to many reasons like past deeds, present action etc.
Collective consciousness in Kumbh is a result of the thousands of monks, masters and rare Yogis who offer rituals, chant mantras, invoke the Lord, and perform Yajna for the cause of establishing peace, love and harmony in the world.
So, this year in Kumbh 2025, we will celebrate, participate and experience the Outer Kumbh and the Inner Kumbh. The goal is to receive, learn, taste the nectar, and get immersed as one goes through the process of spiritual cleansing and transformation.
